The Lone Tree baseball team made its all the way to the state tournament this year, and before that they had five players make the all-conference list.

On first team for the Lions is Erik Murry for pitcher with a 5-2 record in conference play, .60 ERA, 66 strikeouts and opponents hit just .119; Levi Saterfield for catcher with a .228 average, 15 RBI’s, 15 runs scored and threw out nine runners in 13 attempts; and Ty Robertson for infield with a .386 average, 16 RBI’s and a homer.

On second team for the Lions is Shay Hudacek and Jake Viner, and honorable mentions are Ross Swinton, and Jovonte Squires.

All three seniors on the team made all-conference with Hudacek, Roberton and Saterfield, and head coach Steve Gibson said each one deserved it.

“I’m just really happy with the three seniors that we had, and the leadership that they showed. They all three had great seniors years and I’m just really proud of those three,” Gibson said.

Lone Tree finished tied for third in conference with a 13-5 record.
