A man has been arrested following a stabbing incident in Keota Saturday night. The Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office reports 25-year-old Thomas Gollaher of Keota was arrested. Saturday evening authorities responded to the 400 block of North Green Street in Keota for the incident. A female was found in the 200 block of North Green Street with a single knife wound to her chest. The victim was able to identify the attacker.

The victim, who is now in stable condition, was treated at the scene by Keokuk County Paramedics and Keota QRS but refused ambulance transport.

Gollaher is charged with burglary in the first degree while other charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing. Keokuk County Sheriff’s Department, Keokuk County Conservation Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
