The Great Machine is this year’s show for the Washington High School Demon marching band. This year’s drum majors are senior Kyle Basten and junior Aylin Raymundo. With the theme for the show being machine based Raymundo and Basten explain there are a variety of percussion instruments used including non-traditional pieces, such as wood and metal.

The band completed its annual band camp last week and the two drum majors feel that they’ll have a good season. Basten and Raymundo invite the community to see them take the field. This year the band will compete at a number of shows including the Ft. Madison and Mt. Pleasant invitationals on Saturday, September 20th.
