The Mid-Prairie School Board toured a few of the district’s buildings ahead of the first day of school. Board President Jim Hussey says after their meeting last week, they stopped at the high school and the elementary schools in Wellman and Washington Township to see the improvements made over summer break.

At the secondary building they saw the repainted gym. They stopped at Wellman Elementary to see the new wheelchair ramp, and at Washington Township to tour the school’s rooms which are now equipped with heating and air conditioning units.

Mid-Prairie’s school year begins tomorrow morning, while classes at WACO began today and at Highland yesterday.
