The WACO and Columbus Junction volleyball teams got some action last night at the WACO volleyball tournament.

The Warriors finished fourth over all, while Columbus was third in their flight.

WACO went 2-2 on the night, winning their match against Centerville 21-16, 21-10, dropping a game to the tournament champs Iowa Valley 21-7, 21-18 and then beating Maharshi 21-2, 21-6. WACO played Wapello in the consolation game, and fell in a couple of high scoring games 25-19 and 25-23.

Columbus went 1-2 on the night, falling to Wapello 21-8, 21-18, falling to Pekin 21-16, 21-3 and beating Van Buren in three sets winning 21-16 falling 21-11 and then winning set three 15-9.

WACO starts the season 2-2, while Columbus is 1-2.
