Changes in hours of operation are coming to the Washington Public Library. Director of the library Debbie Stanton explains they conducted a community survey to get feedback, analyzed when books were being checked out and did door counts. The new hours will be held year round so patrons will not have to adjust with the seasons. Beginning Tuesday, September 2nd, the library will open an hour earlier. Monday through Thursday it will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
