Nearly all of the corn in Southeast Iowa is in or past dough and dent stages. According to the Iowa Crop and Progress Condition report, 97-percent of corn is in or past dough stage and 64-percent is in or past dent stage. Across the state 25-percent of corn is in excellent condition, 51-percent is good and 18-percent is fair. The corn crop across Iowa is one week ahead of last year, but three days behind the five-year average.
