Iowa’s corn crop is five days ahead of last year’s crop and four days behind the five-year average, with 83 percent in or beyond the dent stage. In Southeast Iowa, 36 percent of corn is mature and 77 percent is in or past the dent stage. At this time 25 percent of corn is in excellent condition, 51 percent is good and 18 percent is fair.

Also, topsoil and subsoil moisture is over 75 percent adequate across Iowa.
