Currently the Washington County Courthouse does not have a back up power source if the electricity were to go out. Auditor Dan Widmer explained at this week’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting that he and other departments in the courthouse and McCreedy Building are applying for a Washington County Riverboat Foundation grant for half of the cost. Widmer added two quotes for generators have been received one for $93,000 and the other for $96,000. The supervisors approved a resolution acknowledging the grant application.
