Here are a look at Friday nights high school football games involving KCII area teams.

Iowa City Regina 49 Highland 14

The Regals scored the first 49 points of the game to improve their record to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in district play. The Huskies were led on offense by senior Brian Garcia, who carried the ball 19 times for 151 yards and a touchdown in the setback. The loss drops Highland to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in district play. This Friday, Highland will continue district play against the 3-2 Pella Christian Eagles in the Huskies homecoming game.

Columbus Community 47 West Marshall 26

The Wildcats were led offensively by junior Maurico Ramirez, whose 216 yards of total offense and two touchdowns helped Columbus Community get a win in their homecoming game. The victory improved Columbus Community to 3-2 overall and helped improve the Wildcats district record to 1-1. This Friday, Columbus will continue district play on the road against the 4-1 Iowa City Regina Regals.

WACO 52 Cardinal 50

The Warriors tallied almost 500 yards of total offense as WACO ended their four game losing streak. Senior Tucker Janecek led the Warriors with 171 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in the win. The victory improves WACO to 1-4 overall, while the loss drops Cardinal to 0-5. This Friday, WACO will host the 3-2 Lone Tree Lions.

Lone Tree 42 Winfield Mount Union 30

Paced by 471 rushing yards, including 240 yards by junior Jared Hudson, the Lone Tree Lions were able to get their second straight victory. Junior Kolt Rossiter led Winfield Mount Union with 300 yards passing, throwing three touchdowns and three interceptions in the setback. The win improves Lone Tree to 3-2 overall, while the loss drops Winfield Mount Union to an identical 3-2 record. This Friday, Lone Tree will travel to Wayland to face the WACO Warriors while Winfield Mount Union will host New London.
