Here is a look at the KCII Sports Schedule for Tuesday September 23rd.

Several area schools are on the volleyball court tonight.

In Wellman, the Mid Prairie Golden Hawks will host their conference rival Durant-Bennett. The Golden Hawks and Wildcats both come in winners of their previous match. Last Thursday, Mid Prairie defeated Washington in straight sets to move to 4-8 overall, while Durrant-Bennett comes in with a record of 11-2 overall and has won their previous two matches.

In Wayland, the Waco Warriors will be one of several conference teams getting one final tune up before the Southeast Iowa Super Conference Volleyball Tournament later this week. The Warriors will welcome in fellow conference rival Columbus Community for a match tonight. Waco comes into the matchup 6-6 overall and finished 2-2 this past weekend at the North Mahaska tournament. Columbus is 6-11 overall and finished the Keokuk Tournament 2-4, losing their final four matches.

And its another SEISC tournament tune up as the Lone Tree Lions will travel to the Iowa Mennonite School. Lone Tree comes in 3-9 overall and will look to end a current three game conference losing streak. IMS comes into the match 2-14 overall and will look to end their current 12 match losing streak.

In Cross Country almost all of KCII’s area teams will be in competition tonight.

The Washington Demon Cross Country teams will be in Mount Pleasant this afternoon for a meet with the Panthers. Other high schools competing include Notre Dame, Cardinal, Central Lee, Columbus, Danville, Fairfield, Fort Madison, Harmony , Holy Trinity, Keokuk, Lone Tree, Louisa-Muscatine, Mediapolis, Van Buren, Waco, and Wapello,

The Mid Praire Golden Hawks will be hosting their own Cross Country meet at Wellman Golf Course. Other schools competing in the meet include: HLV, Highland, Keota, IMS, and Wilton.
