The Mid Prairie football team (1-2) overall and (1-0) will be looking tonight for their second win of the season coming off a big win last week on homecoming week against LM 35-3. They will be traveling to West Burlington to take on the (1-2) Falcons. Mid Prairie will have Ryan Cortum back for a second straight game where he threw for two touchdowns for 137 yards and ran for 43 yards. The run game was very effective with Junior Nolan Faselt running for 104 yards a touchdown. Senior running back Austin Slabaugh had 54 yards rushing and a touchdown while sophomore running back Ricardo Vargas had 47 yards.
For West Burlington since coming off that shot out against Ft. Madison winning 45-42 the offense has struggled and have been outscored 68-6 the last two games. West Burlington senior quarterback Brant Wrede has thrown for 468 yards with 3 touchdowns and no interceptions. He has been effective running with the ball rushing for 266 yards and a touchdown.
