The official test results for the Goncho apartment building are not in yet but cleaning is continuing, according to Steve Donnolly, Building and Zoning Official for the City of Washington. Donnolly reported at the City Counil meeting this week, that three to four kitchens in the building need to be cleaned again. He adds meth levels have dropped significantly from 9.2 to .8, however a .1 is required as a passing level before the building can be inhabited again. The .1 level is an industry standard for structures that house meth labs. The building will be tested again for methamphetamine residue. The building was evacuated in December of 2012 when a meth lab was found in one of the units and five apartments and common areas tested positive for the drug.
