This year 344 Century Farms and 86 Heritage Farms have been recognized in the state. The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship has partnered with the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation since 1976 to recognize families that have owned and worked a farm for 100 years or more. Since 2006, they’ve also given the Heritage Farm designation to farms owned by the same family for 150 years.

Four Heritage Farms in Washington County were added this year. The Joyce Dunbar farm outside of Brighton, the Charles Toppan Johnson farm near Wellman and the Joyce A. Davison and Rodney B. Letts farm north of Coppock.

Several farms in Iowa, Keokuk, Jefferson, Henry and Johnson Counties were also recognized. Follow the links provided below for the complete list.
