Part of North 2nd Avenue in Washington will be closed tonight for pigeon removal. The Washington City Council approved the closure of North 2nd Avenue under the railroad overpass from 1 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday morning and the morning of October 2nd. Samuel Yoder and his sons will be capturing the pigeons, as they have done in the past. Washington Police Department, Washington Fire Department and communications staff will be made aware of the closure. Yoder explained the pigeons will be sold to train bird dogs.
