Washington experienced nearly twice the normal amount of precipitation in September. According to the National Weather Service, Washington received 7.64 inches of rain in September while the normal amount is 3.5 inches.

The average temperature was higher than the normal by more than 10 degrees. The average temperature was 69 degrees Fahrenheit while the norm is 58.4 degrees.

So far this year, Washington has received above normal precipitation with 35.8 inches while the normal amount is 29.4 inches.
