The record crop that has been predicted is impacting the price of corn. The United States Department of Agriculture recently predicted the country will harvest 14.4 billion bushels of corn. Soybean production is forecast at a record 3.9 billion bushels. That’s a three percent increase to the August estimates. Local farmer Mark Knupp says crop prices began dropping when those numbers were released last month.
