There will be plenty to do and see in Louisa County today. The county’s historical society is holding their annual Fall Festival from 9am to 3pm. That will be followed by Louisa County Relay for Life beginning at 5pm.
The Fall Festival is taking place at the Louisa County Historical Society Museum on Highway 61 near Wapello. The relay event is being held at Columbus Community High School this year due to the threat of rain and severe weather.
Money raised during tonight’s auctions and by teams participating in Relay goes towards cancer research and American Cancer Society programs. One of those programs offers cancer patients rides to and from their treatment, while another provides free lodging for those who have to travel away from home for treatment.
