A conference in southeast Iowa that focused on issues such as human trafficking and drug cartels was well attended. Tony Nassif is president of the Preventing Abuse Foundation, the California organization that hosted the event. He says they had a packed house at Faith Christian Outreach Church Friday and Saturday. A former C.I.A. intelligence officer and a detective who investigated human trafficking rings were among the speakers.

Nassif says he started the foundation in the early 2000s to address the problem of human trafficking, help victims and prevent others from becoming victims.
