For the first time this season, the Washington Demons have won back to back football games.

As you heard on FM 106.1 KCII and KCIIradio.com, the 3-3 Washington Demons made a trip to the Southeast corner of Iowa to face the 1-5 Keokuk Chiefs in a Week seven district matchup. The Demon offense amassed 567 yards of total offense, and scored 47 first half points on their way to a 67-27.

It was another big offensive night for senior quarterback Daryn Sebelius. Sebelius passed for 262 yards, rushed for another 157, and had scored five touchdowns in the victory. Senior Jacob Henniegan was Sebelius’s top receiver Friday evening, catching five passes for 128 yards and three touchdowns. Hennigan added 81 yards and another touchdown on the ground in the win.

The win improves Washington to 4-3 overall, and 3-1 inside district five. With the loss, Keokuk falls to 1-6 overall as the Chiefs are still looking for their first district win of the season. Up next for the Demons, a matchup with their longtime rival in the Mount Pleasant Panthers.
