Coming into last night’s game with Fort Madison, the Washington Demon football team had only scored 40 points in a game once this season.

As you heard on FM 106.1 and KCIIradio.com, Washington would score four touchdowns in each of the first two quarters as the Demons ran away with a 59-20 win over the Fort Madison Bloodhounds. The night belonged to quarterback Daryn Sebelius.  The senior collected 425 yards of total offense and six total touchdowns in the victory.

The Demon defense did allow Fort Madison 322 yards on the ground, much of that coming in the first half. The win gets Washington back to .500 overall at 3-3 and improved the Demons district record to 2-1. The loss drops Fort Madison to 0-6 on the year. Up next for the Demons will be a matchup with Southeast Conference rival Keokuk in a district road matchup next Friday night.
