Ghosts, superheroes, princesses and creatures will take over downtown Washington a week from today. Washington’s Halloween celebrations will be held for both children and adults. Thursday, October 30th, or Halloween Eve downtown businesses will take part in Moonlight Madness from 4 to 8 p.m. Dani Kane, Assistant Director of the Washington Chamber of Commerce, explains the retail event will have “mad” deals.

Then, Halloween will include trick-or-treating around the square, pony rides, a fortune teller, hay rack rides and more. Kane adds families come from neighboring communities with an average of 800 kids participating.

Trick-or-Treating around the square kicks off at 5 p.m. and in the case of bad weather activities will move into the YMCA. Friday is also Trick-or-Treat night for the City of Washington.
