A local farmer is wrapping up his harvest. Jim Cuddeback grows corn and soybeans on 500 acres in Washington County. He’s harvested around 75% of those acres, and says he should be done next week.

Cuddeback says his overall corn yields are probably the best he’s ever had. While not as good as his corn crop, his soybean yields look good too.

The United States Department of Agriculture has predicted a record crop for both corn and soybeans. Cuddeback adds prices are now relatively low when compared to the record breaking prices they’ve had the last couple of years.
