The Highland Huskies football team finds themselves in the middle of a late season losing streak.

3-3 Highland traveled to Sigourney on Friday for a matchup with the 2-4 Sigourney-Keota Cobras.  The Huskies defense struggled once again, giving up a season high 55 points as Sigourney-Keota celebrated a 55-42 win.

Highland’s Jake Wood led the way offensively with 267 yards passing and 4 touchdowns. Wood did throw two interceptions in the setback. The loss drops Highland to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in district play.

The Huskies return to action this Friday as they host Eddyville-Blakesburg in the school’s Senior Night game.
