Fall is here, and the City of Washington Maintenance and Construction Department will begin leaf pick up on October 23, beginning in the northwest quadrant of the City, moving in a counter-clockwise direction. The leaf vac program will continue until November 23. Residents may place leaves in the terrace area between the sidewalk and the street. Do not place leaves in the street, as this creates drainage and traffic hazards. Questions or comments can be directed to the Maintenance and Construction Department at 319-653-2947.
