Congressman Dave Loebsack visited supporters and volunteers in downtown Washington over the weekend. On Sunday, Loebsack spoke about the importance of getting out the vote and turning in absentee ballots at the Democratic headquarters in Washington.

Loebsack is seeking re-election against Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks. Loebsack is currently serving his fourth term in the U.S. House and has defeated Miller-Meeks in previous elections. In 2008, Loebsack had more than 56,000 votes over Miller-Meeks and in 2010 Loebsack tallied more than 11,000 votes over Miller-Meeks.
