The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk football team will be playing their final regular season football team against the Mediapolis Bulldogs tonight.
The Golden Hawks (4-4 overall; 2-2 in district) are coming off a big win against West Liberty that put them in good position for post season play. Mediapolis is (7-1 overall; 4-1 in district)  is averaging 37 points a game.
Mid-Prairie Head Football Coach Pete Cavanagh says they will have to play their best football if they want to win this game, “I think if we play our best game, we have a legitimate shot and if we don’t we’ll lose, that’s the bottom line.”

If Mid-Prairie wins against Mediapolis they will clinch the two seed and host a playoff game. If the Golden Hawks lose they will fall most likely drop to the four seed. If Mid-Prairie loses and West Burlington wins against Louisa-Muscatine then it will go to a three-way tie in the middle of the district and it will come down to points for the teams to decide who will make the playoffs.

You can catch the game tonight with Mid-Prairie at Mediapolis on AM 1380, FM 102.5, and on KCIIradio.com.
