After a great showing this past weekend at the Hawks Tourney, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks will return to the court this evening.Mid-Prairie will take their 8-10 overall record on the road as they take on 21-6 North Cedar Knights in a River Valley Conference matchup. This past weekend, the Golden Hawks participated in the championship match of the Hawks Tourney. Mid-Prairie would ultimately lose to West Liberty in the tournament final (13-21,7-21). In four matches Saturday, senior Taylor Kurtz led the team 23 kills and six blocks. Junior Ashley Miller added 14 kills and a team leading 22 digs. Head coach Cindy Miller says North Cedar is another version of West Liberty for her team.

“If we get a win it would be wonderful.” Miller said, “Most likely we have to go in there with the thought process that we are going to play with them. We are going to play the best that we can.”

North Cedar comes into the matchup winners of their last eight matches.
