The WACO Warriors volleyball team returned to the court Tuesday evening.The Warriors traveled to Pekin for a Southeast Iowa Super Conference matchup with the Pekin Panthers.

The Panthers pounced on the Warriors early in game one, and would win the match in straight sets (25-15, 25-22, 25-19). Senior Erica Leichty had seven kills and four digs, while sophomore Hallie Kissell had four digs and a team high 15 assists for the Warriors in the set back. The loss drops WACO to 12-13 overall, while the win improves Pekin to 12-7 overall. Both squads will be in action on Thursday. WACO will host the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves, while Pekin will travel to Wapello for a match with the Arrows.
