The Columbus Community Wildcats’ football team looked to get back on the winning track Friday evening.

The Wildcats traveled to Pella for a district matchup with the Pella Christian Eagles. For a second straight week, the Wildcat offense found difficulties scoring falling 49-14 to the Eagles. Junior Maurico Ramirez led Columbus’ offense with 117 yards rushing and a touchdown in the setback.

The loss drops Columbus Community to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in district play. The Wildcats return to the gridiron Friday evening when they host Sigourney-Keota in Columbus Community’s Senior Night game.
