The Sigourney-Keota football team’s postseason run came to halt Wednesday evening.The 5-4 Cobras traveled to West Branch for a Class 1A first round playoff game against the undefeated Bears.

The Cobra’s offense gave the Bears fits, who came into the playoffs only giving up 51 points total on the season. West Branch did come away victorious over Sigourney-Keota 49-22. Twenty two points is the second most points given up by West Branch this season.

The win advances the Bears to the second round of the playoffs, where they have been preparing to face Dike-New Hartford. Sigourney-Keota ends the season with a 5-5 overall record.
