Iowa’s soybean harvest is well behind normal. Only nine percent has been harvested so far, the lowest percentage harvested by October 6th in over 30 years. Nearly all of the soybean crop is turning color with 85 percent of the crop dropping leaves or beyond. According to the Iowa Crop Progress and Condition report for this week, 22 percent of soybeans are in excellent condition, 52 percent are good and 19 percent are fair.
