One of Washington’s holiday events is in jeopardy of being canceled. The 24th Tour of Homes, which sponsors the lights around the tops of the buildings in downtown Washington, may be canceled. Washington Chamber of Commerce Director Michelle Redlinger explains two more homes are needed for the tour. Assistant Director Dani Kane explains they have contacted approximately 100 homeowners to no avail.

The event is scheduled for the first weekend in December and those who participate receive a holiday arrangement from Wolf Floral, discounts for decorations at local retailers and a dinner.

Redlinger adds any kind of home can be on the tour from new builds to historical, as it is about the spirit of the holidays. Kane stated they are also arranging a sneak peek of a business in town.

The Chamber will announce next Friday whether the event will be held or not and is asking for any home owners in or near Washington interested in participating to contact them as soon as possible, preferably this week.
