A disappointing season is coming to an end this evening for the WACO Warriors (1-7 overall; 1-5 in district).

The Warriors will travel to Danville for a district matchup with the Bears (2-6 overall; 1-5 in district). WACO looks to put their senior night loss to Pekin (48-2) behind them, and finish the season on a positive note. Despite the team’s overall struggles, senior Tucker Janecek has been a bright spot all season for the Warriors. Janecek leads WACO in rushing yards (1107), rushing touchdowns (12), total tackles (68.5), and is tied for the team lead in fumble recoveries (2).

The Bears have also struggled during the 2014 season. Danville has been part of two separate three-game losing streaks, and lost to the Lone Tree Lions 27-9 last Friday in Lone Tree. A major reason for the struggling record is the Bear’s offense. They have scored less than 10 points in five of their six losses this season.
