The Washington Demon volleyball team will make their final regular season roadtrip this evening. The 5-21 Demons travel to Keokuk for a Southeast Conference showdown with the 2-16 Chiefs.

These two teams met one other time this season. Keokuk traveled to Washington and left town with a five set win (13-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-22, 12-15) on September 16th. In that match, Demon junior Amber Salow had a team high 13 kills, while Emma Stout collected 22 digs in the setback.

In their recent match on Tuesday, the Demons were competitive in a straight set loss to Fairfield (13-25, 24-26, 22-25). Salow led the team with 10 kills and 13 digs in the setback. Head volleyball coach Julliana Berg says the team has recently started playing the best volleyball of the season.

“I want to say that every single time.” Berg said, “Eventually we are going to get over this hump that we are battling against and we are going to come out on top one of these times.”

After tonight’s contest, Washington will return home next Tuesday to celebrate Senior Night against Fort Madison.
