So far, 456 people have voted in Washington County. According to Sue Meeks, elections administrator, 1,393 ballots have been requested. Democrats have requested 575 ballots, Republicans have asked for 510 and the remaining 308 are from no party voters.

Washington County Auditor Dan Widmer is reminding eligible voters they may vote early and register ahead of November 4th’s election. Iowans are able to register and vote on election day by providing proof of identity and residency at their polling place. Absentee ballots may be requested at the auditor’s office, which is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. as well as Saturday, October 25th.
