The Winfield-Mount Union Wolves football team will play their final regular season home game this evening.The 4-2 Wolves will welcome in their Southeast Iowa Super Conference rival the 1-5 WACO Warriors for a district contest. During halftime, Winfield-Mount Union will recognize the seniors participating in cross country, marching band, cheerleading and football.

Winfield-Mount Union will be looking for back to back wins, as the Wolves beat the New London Tigers 44-6 in Winfiled-Mount Union’s homecoming game last Friday. WACO will try to avoid another losing streak, as the Warriors committed seven turnovers in their 34-18 loss to Lone Tree last Friday.

A milestone could be reached this evening by WACO senior Tucker Janecek. The Warriors’ running back is 60 rushing yards shy of 1,000 for the season.
