The Winfield-Mount Union Wolves returned to conference volleyball action Tuesday evening.The Wolves welcomed in the Lone Tree Lions for a Southeast Iowa Super Conference matchup.

Winfield-Mount Union jumped on the Lions early in game one, and ultimately would win the match in straight sets (25-7, 25-18, 25-12). Senior Nicole Esher had a team high 12 kills and 12 digs, while senior Samantha Jamison had six kills and 18 digs in the victory.

The win improves Winfield-Mount Union to 21-9 overall, while the loss drops Lone Tree to 7-16 overall. Both teams will be back in action Thursday evening. Winfield-Mount Union will travel to Wayland for a matchup with the WACO Warriors. Lone Tree will host the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons.
