November is adopt a senior pet month. Amber Talbot, Director of PAWS and More Animal Shelter in Washington, states there are senior pets at the shelter looking for their forever homes. She explains quite a few of the cats have been owner surrenders with people moving and no longer able to keep the pets or going to nursing facilities. Talbot adds the pets available are used to a variety of families that include children or other pets. And many of the pets have eight to 10 years of life left.

Also, the senior cats have an adoption fee of $25 this month and all of the cats over one-year-old at PAWS and More have a half-off reduced adoption fee. For more information listen to today’s Washington Page.
