A Washington County woman has been selected for a state honor in Iowa for 4-H. Amy Green, Washington County Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator, was one of four people chosen as a leader for peer groups across the state. The peer groups were created in 2013 as a statewide initiative and provide a network of support and guidance for new county youth staff. The team leaders, including Green, are selected from nominations based on leadership, program success and ability to mentor new staff. Each peer group is led by two team leaders and consists of six to 12 new staff members.
