It’s national hospice month.Jim Ludor is the spiritual care and bereavement counselor for HCI Care Services in Mount Pleasant.

Ludor says hospice care is geared toward individuals who have been told by a medical doctor that they have six months or less to live. He explains that the goal of hospice care is to make someone’s last few months as comfortable and pain free as possible, not prolong life or hasten death.
