The IMS girls basketball team will be starting the season tonight as they play the second ranked Mediapolis Bulldogs.

Head Coach Aaron Gingerich feels pretty comfortable with the players he has, especially senior Riley Schmider, “She has put in a lot of hard work, I think she is really ready to take on the role on being our go to player.” Schmider was a conference all honorable mention last year.

One thing going against IMS is their lack of depth. They come into this season with only eight players on the roster to Mediapolis’s 14. The Bulldogs are coming into this game with IMS’s number. Winning the last six games against IMS dating back to the 2011-2012 season. The game will be played tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Iowa Mennonite School.
