Tonight is the 20th Annual Lighted Parade in downtown Washington. Everyone in the community is welcome to enter a float in the parade which begins at 6 p.m., with registration at 5 p.m. Director of Main Street Washington, Sarah Sadrakula, says she hopes for a large number of entries and for a parade that lasts an hour or longer. The only requirements for floats for the parade are that they be lit and that they do not have a representation of Santa Claus, as he always brings in the Christmas season at the end of the parade. Each year the parade is held the Friday after Thanksgiving.
