Proceeds from a soup supper planned for tonight will go to a local family recovering from a house fire that occurred October 31st. Students involved with the Lone Tree FFA and FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) chapters are hosting the fundraiser as a service learning project.

According to FCCLA advisor Jana Sadewasser, in addition to running the event, the students are donating homemade baked goods for dessert. She says community members are also donating food and their time.

Tonight’s soup supper is being held at the Lone Tree Community Center from 5 to 7pm. Chili, cheesy potato, broccoli cheddar, and chicken noodle soup will be served.
