A man linked to a drive-by shooting in Mount Pleasant will stand trial in January. Twenty-eight-year-old Phillip Grandinetti of Mount Pleasant is charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, a class c felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

On September 18th, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report from two female individuals who had been shot at on 265th Street. Officers located Grandinetti near the crime scene and took him into custody. The handgun used in the shooting was found at his home during a search that followed his arrest.

He entered a plea of not guilty last month. His trial is scheduled to begin January 27th.
