The 13th ranked Mid-Prairie girls basketball team opens their season tonight as they travel to Fairfield to take on the Trojans.

Both teams come into this match up with about similar records from last year and both have a good core of their teams coming back. Coach Stephan Bender says they will have to be ready for this tough match up, “Fairfield is a very good team. They have some of their best players back from last year with their first and third leading scorers. Were going to have to be ready to go and step up and play.”

Mid Prairie returns senior post player Taylor Kurtz, a first team All River Valley Conference Player last year. Tonight’s varsity game between Mid Prairie and Fairfield tips at 7:45 in Fairfield.
