Visitation for 66-year-old Joyce “JEM” Maher Edmondson Bender of rural Kalona, will be held Thursday, December 11th, 2014, from 4:00pm – 8:00pm with a Memorial Service at 5:00pm at the Shiloh Church in rural Kalona. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Supervisors Move to Leave RUSS

The Washington County Board of Supervisors has approved authorizing the Washington County representative on the Regional Utility Service Systems, or RUSS, board to enter into discussions and negotiations with RUSS to withdraw from the RUSS 28E agreement with final agreement subject to full Washington County Board of Supervisors approval.
