Volunteers are still needed for a traffic count at the intersection of Highway 1 and Lexington Boulevard in Washington tomorrow. Director of the Washington Kirkwood Regional Center, Tera Pickens states there is concern over the safety of the intersection and they are working to be proactive. She says with the center now open there has been increased traffic. She states students and staff have been safe so far. Although, there have been accidents with injuries in the past at the intersection, including a fatal wreck in October of last year.
