The Washington Demons’ wrestling team is starting their season three days earlier than originally planned. Washington wrestling coach Brent Van Weelden announced last week the addition of a dual meet to their regular season schedule. The meet takes place at Benton Community High School Tuesday in Van Horne. The meet includes wrestling teams from Benton, Hartwick-Ladora-Victor, and Iowa Valley Community schools and begins at 6 p.m.

Washington’s original season opener on Thursday, December 4 at Washington High School is taking place as scheduled. The Demons host the Highland Huskies and the Lousia-Muscatine Falcons starting at 6 p.m.

The Washington Demon wrestling team is scheduled to wrestle in four meets, and three tournaments before the Christmas holiday break.
