Unanimously the Washington City Council approved an ordinance providing for division of TIF, or tax increment financing, revenue for the Oakwood Village subdivision. The ordinance needed to be passed in the 2014 calendar year so that the development from 2013 would be included. Last night the council approved the first reading, then suspended the rules and approved the second reading, and then suspended the rules for the third reading and adopted the ordinance. City staff also arranged to have the ordinance printed within the calendar year as per code.
